A bed is always important for both you and the room. However people often get confused on what should be the right size to buy. Therefore what one should understand is to find out the right bed size one should take a few things in consideration. There are broadly four different sizes of bed available. One however, can custom make the size according to their requirement.  Here’s how to choose the right size.

  1. King Sized Bed- This is the biggest choice of all beds at 76 inches wide and 80 inches long for your average King bed. There is also the California King which measures up at 72 inches wide by 84 inches long. King beds provide the same size you would get by setting two beds up next to each other. If you are a couple with a kid then a king should suffice well.
  2. Queen Sized Bed- This is usually the most popular style of bed and couples will often choose this option as it provides a lot of room for both partners without taking up all of the space in the bedroom, some singletons like this size, as well. The Queen size offers multiple options which contributes to this size's popularity with couples and single people. A queen sized bed measures 60 inches wide by 80 inches long, there is also another size called the Olympic Queen which is 66 inches wide and 80 inches long.
  3. Double Beds- Also known as a full bed, these were most often purchased by couples prior to the creation of the queen and king sized bed. The double bed measures in as 54 inches wide by 75 inches long and people of average height find that this size works out well for them.
  4. Twin - A regular twin size bed, also called a single, comes in a size of 39 inches wide by 75 inches long, unless you choose an extra-long twin bed which is 5 inches longer. The extra length of an extra-long single can be good for someone who is very tall, but is most often used in college dorms. A standard twin bed is great for young children, but can also work out well for someone of full adult height.
